About Me
To put it simply: I like to tell stories.
To be a little more specific: I like to tell stories through film.
I’ve always had a fascination with the craft, finding my beginnings in tinkering with basic editing programs. For school projects, I taught myself how to edit together clips for small presentations and I found that what I could create brought people wonder. It was a way that I could effectively communicate with an audience.
I took my interests to college and began to study the art of film, starting with basic storytelling and moving on to set etiquette. My interests shifted from editing to writing to cinematography to producing, until I had decided that what really suited me was to be a director. It’s a bit of a cop-out, considering the role has a piece in all aspects of a production, but that’s what I’d like to do someday; be a part of everything. I enjoy solving problems and working with others to find new ways to tell stories.
I graduated from the University of Montana with my degree in Media Arts and a specialty in digital filmmaking. My experience has bounced around all stages of production on student sets, giving me a flexibility to move from one role to another. My highlights are in camera operation, writing, and editing, while other skills can be found in audio recording, production design, and producing.
